You are cordially invited to the Grand Opening of “FACS” (Framing + Art & Craft Supplies and More) in the Crossville Outlet Center at 228 Interstate Drive Suite 122 (across from the Dress Barn) in Crossville TN scheduled for Saturday, January 14 from 9:00 a.m. until closing.

You might have previously known us as Picture Perfect/This Old Glove and Stamping on the Plateau. Now Bob Wyrick and Brenda Preuss have joined forces to create a new collaboration. Yes, we will still create fabulous frames for your precious artwork, photos and completed puzzles. And if you need fine art supplies, we are the largest supplier of fine art supplies on the Plateau. Rubber stamp supplies can still be found here along with some new and different mixed media supplies. For those of you who enjoy sports memorabilia, plenty are available to view and purchase for your private collection. But that’s not all. There are lots and lots of unique handmade items from over 10 local artists and crafters for your purchase.

At our Grand Opening there will be lots of refreshments throughout the day. Ann Looney’s piano students will be providing music from 10 until 11:30. Then Terry Ashburn of The Relics will provide some great music from 11:30 until 1:30. Throughout the day we will be drawing tickets for many giveaways. You must be present to win, but we will have many chances for you to do so. While you’re waiting for your name to be drawn, you can visit with many of the crafters who make the wonderful items that are sold in our store. They will be happy to discuss their craft with you.

We look forward to seeing you at our Grand Opening on January 14, 2017!

October news

Here it is October, and so many things have happened over the last few months. Needless to say, I am now well on my way to full recovery and very exited about the months ahead.

I wanted to quickly show you some of the items that have arrived this past week.

Take a look at the CutterPillar Crop in action here at the store or check it out here.

I received these items from Notions Marketing:

These arrived from Product Performers:
In addition to all of these, I have all the new colors within the Distress product line. The Adirondack Alcohol Inks have also been replenished here at the shop, but will also be at the mall this week-end (10/24/15).

And I just received a huge order from Paper Cut with lots of red, green, and glitzy cardstock, plus a few other colors and textures.

Have an appointment to get to so I have to run for now! Be sure to check out the Class Schedule for some great gift-giving ideas and of course, card-making ideas. Hope to see you soon!

It's June Already?????

Where has the time gone? I lost May somewhere along the line. Is it just me or does time go faster as we age? Anyway we are into summer now, and I just got a shipment from Notions. A few of the back-ordered templates I ordered from CHA arrived along with parts of the new Distress Ink Color sets. Many of the pads are still back-ordered, but I hope to release another order in a week or two when the pads should come into the distributor. So let me know if there's something in particular that you would like to have. Remember Notions has just about anything you would want in the craft field. They added almost 17,000 new items to their inventory in 2015. Amazing, isn't it?

Here's what arrived on this order:
Silhouette's fabulous ultra thin spatula for easily removing the sticky images from any die-cut whether using the die-cutting machines or just an easy pick-up tool for any project.
A customer wanted some bright yellow Stickles so I have some extra ones. These make great flower centers for one idea.
The Crafters Workshop 12x12 Stencil called Screen Print is wonderful for use on Gelli Plates, but is so functional for all your stencil needs because the images can be used together or individually. It of course works well with your 12x12 papers, but because of the individual images will also make great cards.
If any of you were looking for the Rusty Hinge Distress pad, I now have some in stock.
There are only 2 colors of the 1"x1" Mini Pads of Distress Inks. Sorry! These are Salty Ocean and Dusty Concord. If you want any of the individual ones for the next order, or if you would like one or more of the sets, just let me know which ones you want.
Now Abandoned Coral, one of the new 2015 colors, is in stock right now with all products: full size pads, stain, paint, reinker, and spray paint, excluding markers.

The other new colors, Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon, also arrived, but without the pads and markers. The pads should be on my next order, if all goes well.
The other 12x12 Crafters Workshop Templates are Pebble Art (top) and Patterns (bottom). The smaller 6x6 templates are Cell Theory (my personal favorite) and Oblong (bottom).

Let me know what your needs are, and I will do my best to help you solve them.

All things beautiful!

I just realized I missed posting some of the orders I have received. I've been working on classes, club meetings, and of course John Petersen's arrival NEXT WEEK. If you haven't registered for his classes yet, please do so soon so we know how many to expect. You can check them out at http://www.stampingontheplateau.com/Class-Schedule.php.

Here is a must! I must mention this first! The new April color of Distress products just arrived today. I have Fossilized Amber in pads, reinkers, stains, paints, spray stains and markers. There is a limited supply of this first order so if you want one reserved, you should contact me immediately.

The other orders that arrived are from Announcement Converters, Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko and Product Performers.
This picture shows some replacement Distress Paints in Dusty Concord, Peeled Paint and Chipped Sapphire. These were the paints we used for coloring the Pure Iris Penny Black stamp in the recent (and to be repeated on July 20) Watercolor Class. Also, there are some small jars of WOW! Thick, clear embossing powder. Two NEW colors of Archival Ink in Buttercup and Sky Blue, plus 2 NEW Patina sets Sunset Morning and Twilight Paris.

These are ALL NEW Products from Ken Oliver and Product Performers. My favorites are the Colorbursts. These are powder watercolors that squirt onto wet cardstock to create marvelous backgrounds (as shown in the photo). Then I got some of the very, very clever Click-It dye ink pads. They are small, cleverly contained and a very good quality of ink. I just purchased the Lamp Black and the Walnut for this first-time-on-the-scene sale. Then this was THE BUZZ at CHA: Stick Its. Everyone was talking about these sheets of super thin double-sided adhesive that attach to your cardstock, then are run through your die-cutting machine to create very, very detailed images which are covered in the adhesive. Then you can add gold leafing, glitter or mica powder to make them shine. Come to the shop and ask to see a demo of this very popular product.

Following are lots of new plastic stencils which are all wonderful to use with your Gelli Plates:  Impressions     Pebble Art
The Story          Be In Love                       Thoughts              Scribbled Rose

Maybe you can tell in the photo above that this is the Brushed Mirricard Gold and Silver cardstock that many of you have longed for. It gives a somewhat soft yet glossy and elegant look to your paper crafts. Also arriving on the scene were some dark green and classic red for the holidays for those of you who like to get those cards done immediately. Then if you love the Neenah Classic Solar White cardstock as much as I do, you will find many uses for the 12x12 packs of cardstock. This cardstock is great with alcohol markers, but works well with any project for which you need a nice, smooth texture on a somewhat heavyweight cardstock.

I love these stencils, too. At the top in 12x12 is Bamboo, followed by Bay Branches, Weaving, Bokeh (the many circles), Ripped Fishnet and Cobblestone. Every one of these works beautifully on the Gelli Plates.

Last but not least are some new items and some requested items. The new items are the StazOn Glazes in Gold, Silver, White, Blue Hawaii, Orange Zest, Spiced Chai, Gothic Purple, St Valentine, Emerald City and Midnight Blue. These glazes keep their dimension and shine upon drying and are perfect for adding that extra touch to the project that just needs a little something more. Another new iten is the Orange Viva Inca Gold Rub. Wow! What an accent color! The warm colors of Neons in the 4-pack are in. Then requested are 12x12 Ranger Specialty Stamping Paper and Crafters Companion Cardstock which were used for alcohol ink painting in a recent class.

I'm sure these is something in this group that would just love to find a home with you. Don't forget to bring your coupons from the large craft stores. I now accept all valid coupons. And I will match or beat any current on-line sale of new items so be on the look-out and bring the sale's URL to show me.

Orders and more orders

We just returned from an all-too-short vacation to find several orders awaiting my efforts. I have mixed the orders based on type rather than by company. I have others to process, but I won't get to those for a day or two. In the meantime, please check these out and e-mail me at BPStamps@citlink.net if you would like something set aside for you to pick up or if you would like it shipped to you. My husband, Paul, loves to do his shipping and handling job.

Here is the first photo of a few of the items received:
The first wood mounted stamp on your left is from Stampers Anonymous. It is called Mesh. I fell in love with this background stamp at CHA because it can be used for any look. The other two wood-mounted stamps are from Penny Black. The middle stamp is called First Dance and is a wonderful brush stroke lily stamp. It stamps beautifully. The last one on your right is a solid stamp which is great for those simple cards. It is called Ebullient which means cheerful and full of energy.

All of these cling stamps are from Penny Black. The first on your left is called Gentle Whisper and is just that. It is a lovely orchid and is so pretty in pastel colors. The next is Pure Iris which accepts bolder colors for a striking look. The Sweetest Sound is the stamp in the middle. What surprised me about that stamp is the ability to place it at two different angles on your card for a similar yet different look. Then Pop Pop Poppy will just jump off your card when colored with some bright colors. Then the last one is called Divine for those of you who like to color, possibly using your Copic or other alcohol-based markers. Of course, don't limit yourself to just those, try some Silks or Twinkling H2O's or Gelatos or Viva Inka Gold or... the list goes on.

The picture below was a little blurred in the group picture so I split them out. These are just gorgeous stamps with matching dies for the birds and flower branches called Birds and Blooms from Heartfelt Creations. These can be used in multiple ways which makes purchasing this set a very, very good deal.

Here are a few dies from Impression Obsession and Penny Black. The IO die is called Open Scroll Butterfly. Isn't it just beautiful? Then there are Framed Fern (top), Sun Fire (bottom) and Flower Frolic (right). Sun Fire goes with the First Dance stamp from above. Off to the right you will see White covered Scratch Art paper. This is such a fun thing to use! Use a stamp to stamp your image and then scratch off the white coating to uncover multiple colors. You can't pick what colors you will get! It's just a serendipitous technique. Your kids and grandkids will love this, too! It's a fun paper for all ages!

Speaking of paper, here are 3 new packs of cardstock that just arrived. The Gold Pearl Linen Metalllic is a soft gold with a little texture. The So...Silk Fair Blue is more brilliant in person. You have to feel this cardstock to appreciate the Silk in the name. It's such a silky smooth cardstock. Just lovely! Then for you mirricard lovers, I have been out of Gold Mirricard for some time. Now's your chance to replenish your stash.

Want to see a little of the CHA Mega Show?

Well, check out the video below. Sandy and I walked a large portion of this show, too. Can you get a feeling for the excitement of learning all these new things? I just can't wait to get classes together to share them with you.

LOTS & LOTS of new items in the 40% Corner

And I mean L-O-T-S!!!! I forgot to mention it before, but as I was just adding more goodies to the corner, I realized I hadn't told you. It's overflowing, so you have to spend time looking through boxes of things plus perusing the shelves. I'm sure there's something there calling your name. Can't you hear it now?
